CPAWS envisages a healthy ecosphere where people experience and respect natural ecosystems. CPAWS believes that by ensuring the health of the parts, we ensure the health of the whole, which is our health too.

Our goal is to secure the components necessary to maintain or restore ecological integrity on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. This requires the completion of a proper network of protected areas, set within a properly managed working landscape on which wildlife may thrive, and through which wildlife can move.
